Vathi Beach Sifnos is one of many attractions on Sifnos Island. For information of other attractions in Sifnos visit here

The Beach

Picture a horseshoe-shaped bay with powdery golden sands meeting the gentle lapping waves of the Aegean Sea – that’s the picturesque Vathi Beach. The beach’s unique shape creates a natural cradle of calm waters, making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or simply basking in the sun. The waters’ clarity at Vathi Beach is astonishing, allowing you to peer into the underwater world teeming with marine life.

There are a few trees to give natural shade for sun seekers as well as a few sunbed offerings – but thankfully they do not dominate the beach. The beach itself is quite long and offers room for everyone, although parking can be a challenge at very busy times.

The sand itself is the best quality you get on the islands and the beach is shallow, making it family friendly. The only challenge my be walking right along the beach – the water gets pretty close to Ydrousa so getting your feet wet might be the only option.

Manolis , Tsikali , Idroussa and Okeanida are good dining options and have great positions along the beach – all have a Greek menu serving food for lunch or dinner in a wonderful setting. Getting the prime positions at busy times can be a challenge though.

For more casual refreshment , Bola Bar and Symposio are good. Nostos is a beach bar further along past Elies.
